A standard X-ray's resolution and clarity simply can not compare with that of digital imaging. Along with the ability to see more clearly, angles, various visual features and tracking patients progress so accurately is a wonderful tool & is far superior to a standard X-ray. Regardless of the field, the more detailed and accurate information a Doctor has, the better. Less than 5 percent of Chiropractors invest in Digital due to the high cost. However the benefits more than compensate for the expense. Purchasing this equipment was not a financial decision but a quality of care one.
A not so well known fact concerning the use of a regular X-Ray unit is the harmful and corrosive chemicals that are used to process the pictures. These chemicals have a very unpleasant odor and just does not make sense for use in a place of healing! The digital X-Ray not only allows Dr. Hendon the ability to give his patients a much better result and treatment but it is environmentally friendly and chemically free as well. Ironically, Patients in our office pay LESS for digital images than standard X-rays at other facilities.
